Uttar Pradesh's second phase of the assembly elections begins today (February 14). Ahead Of the assembly elections many statements of the renowned leaders and members of the political party came into the limelight.


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is all ready for its party's win stating that his Bharatiya Janata party will again come to power, he also called it 80 VS 20 Battle is taking place this time.

 

Countering the criticism that racked up over his remark that ''Uttar Pradesh can become like West Bengal and Kerala if BJP is not voted back to power'', Yogi Adityanath said that he had alerted the people of the state ahead of Assembly elections. 


According to the statement given to ANI, "It's a reaction to action. I said 80 percent of people are with the BJP & 20 percent always oppose us and will do so this time too. I didn't say it in the context of religion or caste.

 

This 80 percent includes those who are happy with the government's agenda of security and development. The 20 percent includes people with a negative mentality who always oppose, and support mafias and criminals.” said CM Yogi.

 

Adding more, After the first phase of polls, it is clear that this election is truly 80 vs 20. BJP has received support from over 80 percent of people.”


During the conversation, he also talked about several other ongoing issues across the country, he talked about the hijab controversy, He said PM Narendra Modi has scrapped the triple talaq to free Muslim girls, give her rights and respect she's entitled.

 

“To ensure respect to that daughter, we say the system won't be run as per Sharia but the Constitution.”


The seven phased Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh commenced on February 10. The second phase of polling for the state assembly is scheduled today, (February 14).

 

Altogether 55 assembly constituencies will go to the polls in the second phase covering nine districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Budaun, and Shahjahanpur.
