Delhi: On Tuesday, 14 March 2023, Senior journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik took his last breath. The 78-year-old was immediately rushed to a hospital in Gurugram after he reportedly had a fall in the bathroom at his residence.
A political analyst and a well-known columnist, Ved Pratap Vaidik was the founder-editor of Press Trust of India's Hindi news edition Bhasha.
He studied and researched Afghan foreign policy and enrolled at Columbia University. He also held degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London and Moscow's Institute of People of Asia.
Mr. Vaidik was the chairman of Bharatiya Bhasha Sammelan and the Council for Indian Foreign Policy.
