Sensex Crosses 49000 Mark For The First Time Ever.

BSE Sensex crosses the mark of 49.000 for the first time in the stock markets.


On Monday morning the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex crossed the mark for the first time ever of 49,000 and on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) the Nifty50 was trading beyond 14,400. Stocks in the IT, telecom and FMCG witnessed a healthy buying.

The Sensex at around 9:34 am was trading at 49,221.61, which is higher by 429.10 points or 0.88% from the previous year which had shut at 48,782.52 points. The BSE opened at 49,252.51 and reached a high of 49260.21 and the lows were at 49015.22 points. The NSE’s Nifty50 was trading at 14460.55 points which is higher by 113.30 points or 0.79% from its closing in the previous year.

In the session that ended on Friday the Standard & Poors of Bombay Stock Exchange (S&P BSE) Sensex was trading over 750 points and the Nifty 50 index was rising above 14,350 as the records broke the market with highest chronicle for the tenth session on the back of the board-based buying interest. Out of 1,621 stocks traded on the BSE, there were 1,621 stocks advancing against a decline of 711 declines which ultimately favored the bulls in the market breadth of the BSE.
