Sensex Crosses 50000 Mark For The First Time

BSE Sensex crosses 50000 mark on Thursday morning for the first time ever.


The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex has jumped from 40k mark to 50k mark in only 415 sessions which now makes it the fastest growth in the rally of index to gain 10000 points and reach 50000 mark historically on Thursday. The newest 10000 point hike journey has been activated by strong inflows of Foreign Institutional Investors (FII), encouraging news on COVID-19 vaccination drives and flowing of the global markets on the prospects of Joe Biden’s victorious win in the US elections.

The top gainer company at the BSE includes Bajaj Auto, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, HCL Tech, Reliance Industries and Asian Paints with a rise of 1.43 percent in their shares. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE) all the sub indices were trading in green with Nifty’s Auto Index outperforming the index by a jump of 1 per cent. The indices of Nifty Bank, IT, Media, Pharma and Private Bank also rose over 0.5per cent.

The market breadth was positive as shares around 1,484 were advancing and 614 shares were on a decline at the BSE.
