Shiv Sena protests against rising fuel prices

On Friday the party leaders and workers of the Shiv Sena hels a statewide protest in Maharashtra against the central government over the rising prices of fuel in the country. Anil Parab the Maharashtra Transport Minister and senior Shiv Sena leader said “people are asking me why I am out here on streets. I want to tell and assure them that if there are any issues related to Maharashtra state, then people do not have to come on the streets because our government is capable enough to do so. But the matter is related to the center. We will protest against them if it is not in the interest of the people, even if we are in power in the state. We will protest against unjust things like hikes in fuel prices.”

To resist the decision the protests are the first steps said the Minister and added that if the Center does not listen they will take other steps. The protest by Shiv Sena was staged at different locations where they shouted slogans against the Central government.

The protestors were seen carrying gas cylinders, holding bullock carts and bicycle marches to register their protest against the hike on fuel prices. Meanwhile due to COVID-19 the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said that it has counted lower production in oil producing nations a major reason behind the soaring fuel prices a week ago.
