The price tag of up to $496 (£380) almost Rs. 32000 in Indian currency, the first two seating dates sold out within half an hour. The airline-turned-restaurant has added two more dates, with diners signing onto a pending list for lunch and dinner sittings.

According to sources, tickets were snapped up in less than half an hour for the A380. About half of the 471 seats on each of the airline’s double-Decker super-jumbo, parked at Changi airport was expected to be available with social distancing in place.Restaurants in the country who missed out can pay S$888 (£501) for the airline’s first-class dining experience at home, including the delivery of tableware, slippers and amenity kits.

Airlines like Taiwan's Eva and Australia's Qantas both pressed ahead with sightseeing flights which land at the same airport they take off from.

Due to COVID-19, every industry is effected so hard which included Singapore Airlines. So the airline announces it would lay off 4,300 staff, or about 20% of its workforce in September.

Some to revive their fortunes with domestic flights as lock-downs are lifted, that's not an option for an airline based in a city-state.
