A social security scheme portal was launched by Delhi Government  for Covid-19 hit families . Under this scheme,the orphaned children and families who lost breadwinner will be provided monthly financial help. On Tuesday, The Delhi Government took a major initiative and launched a new social security scheme portal to provide final assistance to Covid-19 hit families, launched by Arvind Kejriwal.

According to the statement, Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal said that Delhi has faced four waves of Coronavirus. The fourth one affected almost every family and many people died. Adding that he said, "many children were orphaned due to Covid-19, many families lost their sole breadwinner. In such case being a responsible Government, we conceptualised this scheme." During the launch, Arvind Kejriwal said that "we are launching a portal through which such people can apply for financial assistance. Our representative will also visit such families and get applications filled up and they will not reject claims if any documents are missing. 

Under the Mukhyamantri Covid-19 Pariwar Aarthik Sahayata Yojana, Rs 50,000 ex gratia to every family that lost a member to Covid-19 and an additional of  Rs 2,500 per month will be given if the deceased was the sole breadwinner of the family. Meanwhile, Chief Minister also said that this financial assistance will be provided as soon as possible.
