Our Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan dies at age 74
On the fall of Thursday, a great leader of his time span known to all as one of the India’s tallest Dalit leader. He died of Heart Failure in Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in New Delhi.
He was admitted to the hospital on 11th September for the kidney and heart related problems. And was struggling since then only and on Thursday his health worsened. And as it got worse he was immediately put on a ventilator along with ECMO (Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) but instead of getting better his condition depreciated within a 24 hours span. Following this he took his last breath at 6:05 pm.
Chirag Paswan son of the Late Ram Vilas Paswan on his twitter handle commented, “Papa... Now you are not in this world but I know you are always with me wherever you are. Miss you Papa,”
In the memory of our great leader, the government announced that the flag in the capital will be flown at half-mast on Friday along with every other state capital and union territories. And he will be rendered a funeral.
Paswan was often called as ‘Kingmaker’ in Bihar and was known to be the most approachable leader of all and was easily available to all. He had a beautiful career, he served as one of the asset full leaders under six different prime ministers.
He earned many tags under his tenure along with placing his name in Guinness Book of world record, as he started his career by joining Janata Party and won election on his very 1st ticket and held the record of being most voted i.e. won by highest margin.
He was a nine time member of Lok sabha, he was a leader for over a decade. And everyone is mourning his death.
Prime Minister Modi went on his twitter handle and tweeted, “Saddened beyond words. There’s a void in our nation that will perhaps never be filled. Ram Vilas Paswan’s demise is a personal loss,”
President Ram Nath Kovind went on record and paid his remorse on his sudden demise by saying, “In the demise of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, the nation has lost a visionary leader. He was among the most active and longest-serving members of Parliament. He was the voice of the oppressed, and championed the cause of the marginalized,”.
