Mother Stripped and Paraded Naked in Shocking Incident


In a disturbing incident in Belagavi, Karnataka, a 42-year-old woman was forcibly stripped, subjected to a naked parade, and subsequently tied to an electric pole. This brutal attack unfolded after her son reportedly eloped with a girl from their village.

 

The incident occurred between 1 am and 3 am on Monday in Hosa Vantamuri village, approximately 9 km from the district headquarters.

 

Upon receiving the information, Kakati police promptly arrived at the scene and successfully rescued the victim.

 

Following the incident, she was admitted to KLE Hospital in Belagavi for treatment. Hospital sources report that the woman's condition is currently stable.

 

Within three hours of the crime, the police apprehended seven suspects and promptly presented them before the court.

 

During his visit to the village, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwar characterized the incident as 'inhuman.'

 

According to Home Minister G Parameshwar, the incident unfolded after Dundappa Gadkari (24), a farmer and the son of the victim, eloped from the village with an 18-year-old girl around 12:30 am. Both individuals belong to the Nayak community and were reportedly involved in a love affair for the past few months.

 

Minister G Parameshwar revealed that after the elopement, approximately 12 to 15 members from the girl's family attacked the youth's house. Subsequently, they subjected the youth's mother to torture, stripping and parading her on the village road. She was then tied to a pole and assaulted. Police intervened, provided her with clothing, and promptly admitted her to the hospital.

 

City Police Commissioner SN Sidramappa stated that two KSRP platoons and other senior police officials have been deployed in the village. Additionally, a case has been registered at Kakati police station in connection with the incident. 

 

Hosa Vantamuri is located within the Yamakanmardi assembly constituency, currently represented by Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi.
