30-year-old man allegedly killed his father as he denied to give him money to purchase drugs, arrested live in Subhash Place are of Delhi. The police identified the victim as Suresh Kumar, 65, resident of Sri Nagar of Shakurpur village in Delhi.

 

On Wednesday around 5:50 pm according to the police they received a call in the control room regarding a quarrel under the jurisdiction of Subhash Place police station. They said immediately a team rushed to the spot and one wounded person to a hospital, where he was declared dead.

 

"The injured person has sustained abrasion injuries and was bleeding from ear and succumbed to the injuries. On enquiry, it was found that due to drugs addiction his son Ajay had quarrel with him. After his father refused to give him money for drugs he assaulted his father," a police officer said.

 

Under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian penal code (IPC) has been registered at the Subhash Place police station, police said. Accused has been arrested. Further investigation is under progress, they added.
