Sonu Sood to be brand ambassador of Delhi’s mentorship programme, says Kejriwal

In reference to the Punjab polls that are scheduled to be held next year, Sonu Sood said, “No politics was discussed."


Bollywood, actor Sonu Sood will be the brand ambassador of the state government’s mentorship program for school students. "Desh Ke Mentor" initiative was announced by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday. Sonu Sood met Kejriwal a day after, AAP chief announced that the government will soon come up with a progressive film policy which will give a boost to the entertainment industry.

After the meeting, Sonu  Sood informed the reporters, for now, no political thing has been discussed. The actor has received immense praise for the work he has been doing during the Covid lockdown.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Raghav Chadha, and Chandigarh-based entrepreneur Karan Gilhotra were present in the meeting. The program aims to inspire more people in mentoring students of government schools, especially those who come from the underprivileged background.

In reference to the Punjab polls that are scheduled to be held next year, Sonu Sood said, “No politics was discussed." He further said that "desh ke mentors" is the bigger point now for the students future. In addition, he said that he felt blessed that he will work under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Sonu Sood praised Kejriwal for his initiatives taken in the education sector.
