New Delhi traders and shopkeepers on Thursday said that" They are shocked by the move to ban all kinds of firecrackers ahead of Diwali and other festivals and asserted that they will suffer a huge loss due to the Delhi government decision".

They Decided that they will approach LT Governor Anil baijal to seek help in giving respite from the move that came late as the firecrackers worth crores volume are in stock for the upcoming festival like Diwali, Chhath, Guru Parv, and Christmas, New Year and many other festivals coming on the way.

According to a shopkeeper, he said that" If the government had to ban the crackers it should have announced his decision earlier so that we didn't go through losses".

Hardeep Chhabra, General Secretary of Sadar Bazar firecrackers traders Association said that "The ban on all types including green firecrackers that do not cause pollution is beyond comprehension we are holding a meeting to find a way to save ourselves from complete financial rout due to ban adulteration is likely to meet Anil Baijal to seek for his help".

According to the Businessman, he said that" They are playing with the lives of people they should think before they take any steps. We have already issued temporary licences from the Delhi government and questioned why they issued licences if they were banning firecrackers? and said that during this covid-19 where the business and the economy has led towards a big downfall and somehow we are managing to cope up and this government decision is not up to Mark".

Delhi government has banned crackers in the national capital till 30th of November where Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal holding festival season pollution responsible for rising in covid-19 cases in the City.
