Sudden Weather Shift in Delhi

Delhi Witnesses Light Rain Upon Waking Up…

On Saturday morning, Delhi experienced a sudden shift in weather with light-intensity rainfall greeting the national capital upon waking up.

Images from various parts of Delhi, such as Greater Kailash, India Gate, RK Puram, and Janpath, depicted light showers this morning.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds, expected over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi from March 2 to 3.

The IMD reported that a western disturbance, in the form of a cyclonic circulation, is situated over northern Afghanistan and surrounding areas. Additionally, a trough extends from this cyclonic circulation to the Northwest Arabian Sea at lower and middle tropospheric levels.
