India is experiencing an alarming situation with a new wave of Covid-19 pandemic with around 10 lakh new cases being reported over the past week. Whereas over 50%of the Supreme Court staff tested positive for Covid-19 . According to the source, on Saturday 44 out of 90 staffers tested positive for Covid-19 .Supreme court judges will hold sittings via video conferences and will work from home.

As per the information, all the judges will hold video hearings from their respective places and all the courtrooms are current?y being sanitised.All the benches which are scheduled to sit at 10:30 am will sit at 11:30 am and those scheduled to sit at 11 am will sit at noon in the supreme court, today.

The Delhi High Court, which decided to open up the courts for physical hearing, shut its doors for lawyers and reverted to virtual hearing due to the rise in Covid-19 case in the Capital. Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that the situation in the National  Capital is "Very serious" and urged all the Delhiites to stay inside their home and not to move out unless it is urgent.
