Supreme Court permits construction activities for hospitals

The apex court also set the next date of hearing on December 10


 

On Friday, the supreme court decided to permit all the construction activities for hospitals. This decision came as the Delhi government had requested the top court to permit the construction activities of the hospital. The work is taking place at 19 government hospitals of the National Capital. The infrastructure and other improvements of activities are taking place in the hospitals.


 

As per the commission of Air quality management in Delhi -NCR it said to the apex court that the industrial operations in the NCR are not running on CNG/cleaner fuels are allowed to be operated only up to 8 hours from Monday to Friday. And the entry of trucks except for CNG or electric and. Trucks carrying essential commodities have been stopped.


 

Due to incessant rise in pollution level in the capital city. The construction activities were banned and none of the trucks and other vehicles are permitted to enter except CNG or electric vehicles. Only those trucks and vehicles are permitted which carry essential commodities.


The air pollution level in the National capital remained constant. The capital city is under the severe, poor category. As per the system of air quality and weather forecast and research (SAFAR), the Air Quality index in the capital city on Friday stood at 385  which comes under the "very poor" category.
