Tamil Nadu to provide virtual treatment for Covid-19

The state reports 121 cases of Omicron


The Tamil Nadu Government has planned to offer a virtual treatment for COVID to infected patients across the state.

 

On Sunday, according to the statement given by health minister Ma Subramanian said, the Tamil Nadu Government has scheduled to offer virtual treatment via home isolation to Covid patients who have got both doses of vaccination and have been affected by the Omicron variant.

 

While talking to reporters he said, after examining a medical camp in Chennai as a part of the 17th mega vaccination campaign being held through 50,000 vaccination camps across the state. He said," where there is an increase in omicron affected cases (Tamil Nadu), the vaccinated patient affected by Omicron will be offered treatment under home isolation and those who have not been vaccinated and asymptomatic will be placed under constant monitoring by a team. Virtual treatment will be commenced soon." Said the Minister 



According to the statement given by the minister for health and family welfare said, the virtual treatment would include the omicron-affected individuals who have not received the vaccination but as 'asymptomatic'. They would be under continuous monitoring by a medical team.



The cases of COVID and omicron are speeding up in some states. According to the health ministry data, it says the state reports 121 cases of omicron. Also, the states are gearing up with other facilities like arrangements of medical equipment, beds, oxygen for to avoid any type of medical crisis.
