Tanker ramms Innova on Yamuna Expressway, 7 killed

The uncontrolled high-speed tanker crushed the Innova car. Seven people, including four members of the same family, died in the accident. All of those who died were residents of Jind city in Haryana.


A tragic accident took place at Mathura in Uttar Pradesh late at 12 pm on Tuesday. An uncontrolled tanker rammed the Innova car going from Mathura to Noida due to a tire burst on the Yamuna Expressway. Seven people, including four members of the same family, died in the accident. All of those who died are from Jind in Haryana. It is being told that the tanker was moving in the wrong direction.

In fact, Manoj, a resident of Muhalla Safidon of Jind city, was going to Noida from Mathura in his Innova car after having late darshan of Vrindavan with his family. He reached Yamuna Expressway near Milestone 61 in the area of Naujhil police station. Then the tanker rammed the Innova when it rammed into the wrong direction due to a tire burst on the expressway. Manoj (45), his wife Babita (40) sons Abhay (18) and Hemant (16) died in the accident. In the same locality, Manoj's relative Kannu (10) and his sister Himadri (14) along with Innova driver Rakesh Singh died on the spot.

Only seven people were aboard the Innova. A heavy police force reached the spot on information. After the accident, the traffic on the expressway was affected for a long time. SP Dehat Shrish Chandra informed that Jind Police has been informed about the accident. The tanker's tire is torn. Due to which the tire burst, he went uncontrolled in the wrong direction and trampled Innova. At the same time, DM Navneet Chahal and SSP Dr. Gaurav Grover also reached the spot as soon as the incident was received.
