Teacher's day 2023!

Date, History and Significance...

Teachers' Day 2023: Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the nation's first Vice President and Former President, as well as a scholar, philosopher, and recipient of the Bharat Ratna award, was born on September 5th, 1888. India observes Teachers' Day on that day each year to honor his memory.

Through scholarships, Dr. Radhakrishnan was able to complete his schooling and earn a master's degree in philosophy. He also wrote a book in 1917 titled "The Philosophy of Rabindranath Tagore."

He was the Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University from 1931 to 1936, then in 1939 he was appointed Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University. In 1954, he received the Bharat Ratna as well. He was made an honorary member of the British Royal Order of Merit in 1963.

Why is September 5th designated as Teachers Day?

In 1962, when Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan became India's second president, his students went to him to ask for permission to celebrate September 5 as a special day.

Instead, he asked that they commemorate September 5 as Teachers' Day to recognize the essential contribution that teachers provide to society. Dr. Radhakrishnan once said, "Teachers should be the best minds in the country."

In all academic settings, including schools, colleges, and universities, September 5 has been observed as Teachers' Day. To demonstrate their appreciation for their cherished professors, students participate in a variety of events like performances, dances, and extravagant shows.

Teachers' Day is a great chance for anyone, including those who aren't currently in school or college, to thank their teachers and recognize the significant impact they've made on their life. The basis of a high-quality education is its teachers, who frequently take satisfaction in the accomplishments of their charges.
