Tejashwi Yadav at the ED office for questioning

In connection with the land-for-jobs case…

On Tuesday, 30 January 2024, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav reached the ED's Patna office for questioning in connection with the land-for-jobs case.

The central probe agency had issued the summons to Tejashwi on January 19.

Earlier on Monday, RJD supremo and Tejashwi's father Lalu Prasad Yadav was also questioned by the ED at the agency's Patna office in the land-for-jobs case for nearly 10 hours.

Misha Bharti, his daughter and a co-accused in the case accompanied the leader to the office and RJD workers also gathered outside the office of the central agency.

They protested outside the office, raising slogans against the central government.

The alleged scam pertains to when Lalu Yadav was the railway minister in the UPA-1 government from 2004 to 2009.

It is alleged that from 2004 to 2009, several people were appointed to Group "D" positions in various zones of the Indian Railways, and in return, these people transferred their land as bribes to the family members of the then railway minister and a linked company named A K Infosystems Private Limited.
