Telangana Schools, Colleges To Reopen From September 1

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has ordered cleaning and sanitization of all educational institutions by August 30.


The schools will open from September 1 in Telangana. The state government has decided to reopen all educational institutions in the state including Anganwadi centers.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has ordered cleaning and sanitization of all educational institutions by August 30 in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The schools and colleges have been closed for a long time, due to which "mental stress cases" have been seen lately which also affected the learning mode for the students.

Classes from KG to PG which include private institutions too will reopen as per the decision of the chief minister with a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

In a week time schools will open meanwhile, the chief minister has directed officials to take special care of cleanliness in all educational institutions. Schools and all educational institutions are instructed to clean everything with chemicals, moreover, in local bodies, cleanliness of water tanks should be properly done. In addition, Zila Parishad will be visiting the respective districts for inspection purposes.
