Villagers of Telangana dedicate temple to Sonu Sood for his help amid pandemic.
The local people of the Dubba Tanda village with the help of Siddipet district authorities in Telangana have constructed a temple to honor bollywood actor Sonu Sood for his humanitarian deed amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pandemic. The temple was inaugurated on Sunday with the idol of the actor in the prime presence of the sculptor and the local villagers. Women of the village were dressed in traditional attires, sang folk songs and performed arti.
One of the Zila Parishad members Giri Kondal Reddy said, Sonu has been doing a lot of good work amid the coronavirus pandemic for the public. He added “As he has attained the place of God by his good deeds, we have built a temple for Sonu Sood. He is God for us.”
Ramesh Kumar, one of the members who planned the temple said “The way Sonu Sood has been helping the people since the lockdown due to the pandemic has not been recognized by India but the world. He received the SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations. So, on behalf of our village we have decided to build a temple for him. Like Gods, prayers will be offered to Sonu Sood too. He further added, Sood had helped people across 28 states across the nation and had received awards for his acts of humanity.
The sculptor Madhsudan Pal is filled with joy making the idol of the actor; he said “The actor has made a place in people’s hearts with his helpful nature. I have also created a small idol of him as a gift for him.”
Sonu Sood helped crores of underprivileged Indians at the time of the lockdown by arranging safe road travels for migrant workers stuck in different locations in the nation to reach back to their native homelands. He also launched a job portal for the migrant labourers by collaborating with multiple employment providers. He has been helping people reaching out to him through social media
