THOUDANDS WERE INJURED, PROTEST CONTINUE IN PERU

ANTI-GOVERNMENT DEMONSTRATION


Since the removal of Pedro Castillo as president anti-government demonstrations have been started in Peru in which dozens of Peruvians have been injured in protests into the streets.

 

On Friday police officers used tear gas against the demonstrators who were throwing stones and glass bottles, in the capital Lima, fire burned in the streets, local TV footage showed.

 

According to a report of Peru’s ombudsman, 58 people had been injured all across the Peru in demonstrations.

 

Around 1,500 protesters attacked in a police station in country’s southern Puno region, town of Ilave, interior minister Vicente Romero stated. In Zepita a police station was also on fire, Romero said.

 

On Thursday President Dina Boluarte promised to get tougher on “vandals” when one of Lima’s most historic buildings burned to the ground, the unrest followed a day of turmoil.

 

Officials described the destruction of the building, near centry-old mansion in central Lima, as the loss of “monumental asset”.

 

On Thursday after thousands of people in protest descended on the city sooner this week, demanding for change, mounting death toll.

 

Demonstrators wanted human rights organizations to look into the deaths and those responsible, the protestors will continue their Protest and will remain on street for now, according to the sources.
