Three Accused Duped Young Aspirants By Creating Fake Job Website

Beware Of Fake Job Related Websites


Delhi Police have searched a racket of fraudsters who tricked youngsters by claiming to offer them jobs with the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) using a fake website. Police have arrested three people, with the help of South Avenue Police Station, Delhi Police have seized the evidences which are connected with this case.
According to Delhi Police, the fraudsters created a fake CPWD website to fool the victims. The accused even conducted fake exams and also offered fictional appointments to those who were tricked by them.
This matter came to light when the Duputy Director General of e-governance, CPWD, lodged a complaint against this matter at the South Avenue Police Station. Sooner, a team led by SHO Suhaib Farooqui launched an investigation into the matter.During the investigation police got a phone number which belongs to an accused named Ramdayal. Technical surveillance of the phone number revealed that Ramdayal was planning to visit Mahipalpur on October 12, 2020.
Police made a trap to arrest the accused, in the result, police arrested three accused named Amit Kumar age 27, Ramdayal Lal age 28 and Gurdeep age 28.
From the accused, police also recovered a laptop, five smartphones, fake Identity Cards and Visiting cards saying 'National Highway Authority of India'. During the interrogation the accused admitted their crimes and spitted out all their motives and plans.
Amit Kumar identified as the head of the racket, he is a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Ramdayal and Gurdeep both are resident of Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan, both work as a freelancer. Amit introduced himself as a Project Manager in CPWD (Kerala) and asked Gurdeep and Ramdayal to create a fake CPWD website, i.e.(www.cpwd.co.in) and started using it to trick aspirants in search of a job.
During more investigation police found that the trio duped 50 unemployed youth and to the tune of Rs 10-12lakh.
Amit Kumar also admitted that he wanted to buy a luxurious car and a land in Lucknow from the proceeds of this crime.
In one hand, all the three accused were produced before a court and sent to the police custody remand, whereas, in the other hand, one team of Delhi Police is on their way to Uttar Pradesh to recover the proceeds of the crime obtained by Amit Kumar. And another team of Delhi Police has been dispatched to Rajasthan to seize evidences from Ramdayal's and Gurdeep's homes.
