Thunderstorm and rainfall in Delhi and parts of UP on Saturday: IMD

Thunderstorm and rainfall in Delhi and parts of UP today: IMD. The Met Department also predicted the Air Quality Index (AQI) which will be under the satisfactory category.


On Saturday the India Meteorological Department  (IMD) predicted thunderstorms accompanied with light to moderate intensity rains in Delhi and parts of Uttar Pradesh.  According to the tweet by IMD said: "Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over isolated places of Delhi,khekra, Gulothi, Bulandshahar, Milak, Baghpat, Chandausi (UP) and adjoining areas during next 2 hours."

The weather department stated that "The air quality is likely to remain in satisfactory to moderate category on 07.08.2021. The outlook for subsequent 5 days: The air quality is likely to remain largely in the satisfactory category." The Met Department also predicted the Air Quality Index (AQI) which will be under the satisfactory category. 

Meanwhile, on Friday Delhi witnessed a minimum temperature of 26.7 degrees Celsius.
