Tourist rush ahead new New year

Long queues of vehicles were observed at the atal tunnel and the sissy in the Lahaul and Spiti districts of Himachal Pradesh. Ahead of Christmas and New Year, the public rush is gathering towards the tourist destinations.

Himachal Pradesh and the nearby states mostly rely on tourists. The main source of earning is tourism. With the harsh hit of the Covid pandemic, the tourism sector has been impacted badly. The closure of the interstate Movement has created problems for the commuters. Covid-19 was at a peak where the daily moments were forced to stop. 

As per the data, a maximum of 272,048 tourists visited Kangra, 182,423 went to Solan. Also, the occupancy in hotels and homestay has increased to about 50 percent and the tourists have also started to make their advance booking in view of the New Year and Christmas.
