Workers Trapped in Vijaypura, Karnataka, Result in 5 Deaths
Officials have recovered the bodies of five workers who were trapped in a warehouse in Karnataka's Vijaypura industrial area since Monday, December 4th.
In the incident, a minimum of 10 workers became trapped beneath numerous sacks of grain in the warehouse. These sacks, filled with grains, reportedly toppled over following the collapse of a maize processing plant on Monday evening.
The workers who lost their lives have been identified as Rajesh Mukhia, Ramreez Mukhia, Samboo Mukhiya, Ram Balak, and Lukho Jadhav. All of them hailed from Bihar.
Videos circulating suggest that bulldozers are being employed in the rescue operation to extract trapped workers. The police are overseeing the effort, utilizing bulldozers to scoop out grains in an attempt to free the workers.
