On Wednesday, a fire erupted on the New Delhi-Darbhanga Superfast Express near UP's Etawah, impacting three coaches. Officials reported that a small number of individuals suffered minor injuries in the incident.

As per authorities, the station master detected smoke in the sleeper coach when the train passed through Sarai Bhupat station.

The station master promptly halted the train by alerting the driver and guard about the smoke. Following this, passengers were safely evacuated from the affected sleeper coach.

When the train caught fire, many passengers jumped out. Sources mention that the number of passengers exceeded the train's capacity.

The fire incident took place near Sarai Bhupat Railway Station in Uttar Pradesh and has been successfully brought under control.

Furthermore, the three burned coaches have been separated from the train. Police suspect that a short circuit could be the likely trigger for the train fire.
