Turkey's President Response To Some Problems

President met affected people on Wednesday


Recep Tayyip Erdo?an Turkey's President, the government's response to two catastrophic earthquakes, has defended by him, by saying to prepare for the scale of disaster was impossible.

In Turkey and northern Syria at least 15,000 people are dead.

Critics claimed the emergency services' response was too slow and the government was poorly prepared.

According to Mr Erdo?an the government had encountered some problems, but he said the situation was now "under control".

But Kemal Kilicdaroglu, the leader of Turkey's main opposition party disagreed with the statement.

"Erdo?an is responsible for this", he even added.

The accusation was rejected by the President and said unity is important in this condition of disaster, "In a period like this, for political interest only I can not stomach people conducting negative campaigns," he told to reporters.

 

 

 

Thousands of people have been suffering a third night in freezing conditions.

 

 

The survivors had warn by a World Health Organisation official, there could be injuries caused by freezing temperatures. 

 

 

 

In terms of Turkey's and international community's there are some difficulties aid. Due to this reason, efforts are being made to open two more border gates," he said.

 

 

The EU confirmed to help Syria goverment and send  €3.5m (£3.1m), but said the aid must be delivered to both goverment and rebel controlled areas.
