Turkey will not remain silent after the threats over Masjid Al-Aqsa

The tensions spreading to Gaza and Lebanon should not be allowed to escalate: Turkey President


Erdogan: Turkish President has stressed that for his country it is impossible to remain silent after threats over Al-Aqsa and in the face of provocations to the status quo and spirituality of Jerusalem's Al Aqsa Mosque. 

 

On Saturday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli counterpart Isac Herzog in a phone call discussed the latest raids by Israeli security forces on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, along with the hash intervention against the holy sites, according to Turkish Communications Directorate.

 

Saying that the latest incidents wound the conscience of not only Muslims but all of humanity, Erdogan stressed that Türkiye can in no way remain silent in the situation of provocations and threats to the status quo and spirituality of Al Aqsa, located in occupied East Jerusalem.

 

He urged, the tensions spreading to Gaza and Lebanon should not be allowed to escalate.
