Two FIRs were lodged against Arnab Goswami within a day span.

Republic TV journalist Arnab Goswami has two FIRs registered in his name at two police stations, namely NM Joshi Marg and Pydhonie police station.

Ever since the onset of this week Republic TV and its editor-in-chief has continuously been on the news, and is accused of TRP scam along with defamatory comments about the well-established Bollywood stars.
Alongside, Mumbai Police sent a show cause notice to Arnab Goswami, the notice asks the reporter why should not he be charged under Section 108 of the Indian Penal Code.The assistant commissioner, Sudhir Jambavdekar who is the one to have sent the notice had asked the editor in chief to remain present before him on October 16.
The notice is for the two questionable incidents coverage by him that were:
  - Assassinating of sadhus in Palghar district
 - Gathering of Bandra migrants in the phase of lock-down
It states that Goswami and his channel reluctantly gave communal angle to both the incidents and tried to instigate a long worn communal tension between Hindu and Muslim.
The two FIRs registered one in NM Joshi Marg Police station earlier than following that same kind in Pydhonie Police station both targeting the similar kind of offensive behavior tricking into a communal fight and spreading of hatred showcased by the popular reporter.
The Senior Inspector from both the police stations sent a proposal mentioning to take actions against the reporter to the ACP who further took actions and sent a notice-asking question regarding the coverage.

The three-page notice was issued on 10th of October.The YouTube channel of the news channel showcases the hatred felt by the viewers in the comment section how the channel is being bashed here for the content they provide.Goswami is soon going to be presenting his perspective in front of the ACP soon.

If things he presents are not acceptable by the ACP then he would be initiating chapter proceeding against him. If that occurs Goswami would likely be asked to sign a legal security bond for over a year stating if he violets t he would be charged with the plenty of 10lakh rupee. He would also have to pledge not to indulge in any act of dissemination of seditious matter. He would have to take along a person as security who would take responsibility for his behavior for the duration of the bond.
