Two men died of inhaling poisonous gases

Found inside Mathura road sewer

The Delhi Police reported that two males died on Wednesday morning from deadly gas inhalation after they went into a manhole next to a five-star hotel on Mathura Road. They are believed to have done so in order to steal cable cables, the Delhi Police stated.

Salim, a resident of Batla House, has been identified as one of the two murdered individuals, according to deputy commissioner of police (southeast), Rajesh Deo.

The individual was allegedly found unconscious within a sewer at the traffic light next to the hotel, according to information provided to police on Wednesday morning. The police discovered two individuals inside the sewer when they arrived at the scene. "The two bodies were carried out and sent to a city hospital for postmortem. The area was requested for inspection by the crime squad, according to Deo.

One of the dead individuals was identified during the investigation, and the police said they were working to identify the other. Salim has a criminal history, according to the report. According to a senior police officer, he was the target of roughly 12 cases filed in various police stations in Delhi.

The two were believed to have entered the sewer to steal cable lines, but they died after breathing in hazardous gases, according to police's initial theory.
