Two were killed when a speeding truck hit the car

A high-speeding truck hit the car and two persons were killed in a tragic incident, while two others were seriously injured. They were traveling to Patna's Samastipur, going to attend a marriage ceremony, police said.

On late Sunday evening, the accident took place on the Samastipur Patna road.

The deceased have been identified, both residents of Bejadih and Korbaddha villages in Samastipur district

On Monday police immediately rushed to the spot and took the injured to the local hospital where they were undergoing treatment at Samastipur. 

Other two who were not identified yet have been undergoing treatment in a private hospital where they were referred to a higher center due to their critical condition, Station House Officer (SHO) Pankaj Kumar said.

For postmortem, police sent the deceased bodies to Samastipur district hospital on Monday morning.

The truck driver is absconding, and police are on the lookout for both the driver and the truck.
