UK Cargo Craft to bring Stock Of Oxygen To India

On Friday, The cargo craft which is world's largest plane left Belfast in Northern Ireland, carried a stock of three containers of 18-tonne oxygen generators along with 1,000 ventilators as part of the UK's latest help to India's COVID-19 crisis, the government of British said.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has helped by giving funds to supplies, allegedly airport staff through the night to load the life-saving kit aboard the massive Antonov 124 aircraft, which is expected to arrive in National Capital at 0800 IST on coming Sunday morning after which the India will celebrate the Red Cross Day which is on May 8 by helping in transfer them to the hospitals.

UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said that "The UK is sending surplus oxygen generators from Northern Ireland to India. This life-saving equipment will support the country's hospitals as they care for vulnerable COVID patients,". He also added in his statement that "The UK and India are working together to tackle this pandemic. No-one is safe until we are all safe,". The size of each of the three oxygen generation units is 40 foot freight containers, the quantity of 500 litres of oxygen per minute and it is also enough for 50 people to use at a same time with each other.
