UN Military Vehicle Attacked In LoC

India falsely blamed by Pakistan on a UN vehicle attacked near LOC.

The United Nations (UN) verifies that the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) was struck by an “unidentified object” in Rawalakot, sector Chirikot on the Pakistani side of Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed region of Kashmir. However, the occupants in the vehicle were not injured.

The Pakistani media report blamed the Indian troops along the LoC of targeting the United Nations vehicle. On Friday, the Indian official source said that the allegations of the attack on the UNMOGIP by the Indian troops in the LoC are completely false, baseless & factually incorrect. Since, the movements of UN vehicles are known in advance the question of any such firing does not arise and on Friday in that sector there was no firing the official added.

The Indian military sources also rejected the allegations by the Pakistani Army separately. A military source said “Reports of targeting United Nations are not true.”
