UP CM Meets PM Modi, Invites Him For Oath- Taking Ceremony

BJP Wins UP Assembly Elections!


The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the National Capital on Sunday.


PM Modi congratulated UP CM Yogi Adityanath for his victory in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh state. 


According to reports, Yogi Adityanth also extended an invitation to the PM for his swearing-in ceremony. The information also mentions that CM also met Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda, and the party's national general secretary BL Santosh.


According to the tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “Had a meeting with Yogi Adityanath today and congratulated him over the historic win in the Uttar Pradesh polls. He has worked tirelessly to fulfill the people’s aspirations in the last five years. I have full confidence that he will take the state’s development to new heights in the coming years,” said the PM.


On March 10 the results of five polls bound states including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa were out.  In which the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in four states whereas the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won in Punjab. The BJP returned to power in UP after having secured 255 seats in the assembly election. Its allies Apna Dal (S) and Nishad Party managed to bag 12 seats and six seats, respectively. Yogi Adityanath is the first Uttar Pradesh CM to be re-elected to office after 37 years.



The new government is likely to take the oath on March 20. The senior BJP leaders from the hill state are likely to meet the party’s top brass on Monday over the formation of the government.
