UP CM transfers scholarship of Rs 458.66 cr

Over 12.17 lakh students benefited


 

The Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi adityanath transfers a scholarship of rupees 458.66 cr to over 12.17 lakh students. On Thursday, the chief minister pointed to the Samajwadi Party and said, under the government of Akhilesh Yadav the scholarships for SC/ST students were stopped.


 

According to the statement, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister yogi adityanath said," the previous government used to discriminate before providing scholarships to the children. They stopped providing scholarships particularly to the children belonging to the SC/ST community." Adding more the chief minister mentions that, "In the last four and a half years, our government has added more than 40lakh children getting scholarships earlier " 


 

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated all the students from different districts during an interaction and said, due to the Covid pandemic, a large number of school colleges, polytechnics couldn't start their sessions.  And the scholarships have been sent in different installments due to the late admission process.


Also, the Uttar Pradesh-led government, Yogi Adityanath will provide mobile and tablets to college students. He said the government is working on an action plan for the distribution of smartphones and tablets in various universities, engineering institutes, polytechnics, ITI, Nursing, and other sectors.
