UP schools to be open for six days, rather than five days: Report

Many more states have reopened the schools issuing their respective guidelines.


States have started reopening schools as the positivity rate of Covid-19 has reduced. Many states such as Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Delhi have reopened schools with their respective guidelines. Meanwhile, schools in Uttar Pradesh will be open for 6 days rather than five days, according to a report. 

According to Aradhana Shukla, additional chief secretary of secondary education said, as the weekend curfew in the state has come to an end, the schools in Uttar Pradesh will now open from Monday to Saturday for classes 9-12.

Meanwhile,  on Thursday Uttar Pradesh reported 36 fresh Covid-19 cases taking the tally to 17,09,386 whereas no death has been reported in 24 hours.
