UP witnesses dengue outbreak in several districts...

18,000 cases reported this year!


A sudden rise in the cases of dengue has been witnessed in the Uttar Pradesh state.  Around 18,000 cases have been reported in UP this year. 

Amid outbreak in dengue cases, on Thursday, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held  a meeting with the top officials of the health department . The CM instructed them to complete essential facilities like beds and medicines in hospitals to curb the spread of dengue.

 

According to the statement given by the CM, Doctors have been alerted at the CSC PSC level. There was no shortage of beds in the wards. People need cleanliness. The municipal corporation is spraying larvae", the deputy CM added.

 

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that the dengue situation was under control, and there were fewer cases this year.

 

According to the statement given by; Deputy CM, Hospitals have been told to make alternative preparations by arranging beds, making sure no patient walks back untreated,” Brajesh Pathak stressed.

 

In the last 24 hours, 12344 tests have been conducted, out of which 5666 cases were logged as dengue. This year from January 1, 18000 cases of dengue have been registered with two deaths as per the health department records.

 

The most affected districts are Prayagraj, with 911 cases, Lucknow, with 749; and Jaunpur and Ayodhya, with 366 and 325 cases, respectively.

 

In the year 2021, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan witnessed the maximum number of cases of dengue. Delhi also recorded a significantly higher number of cases at 13,089 during the same year
