The district general secretary of Samajwadi Party Faraz Khan was arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police allegedly for helping Abbas Ansari and his wife Nikhat Ansari who is son of gangster Mukhtar Ansari in the criminal activities in jail and arranging the logistics and hideouts on Monday evening.
As per the information by the DIG Vipin Kumar, the police have a strict surveillance on Abbas who was accused in a fraud case of transferring of arms licence by the Lucknow court and was in jail with 5 body worn camera and one drone camera in Kasganj Jail.
Nikhat Bano and her driver Riyaz was arrested on 10 February for improper meeting with Abbas Ansari with two cellphone.
The court has issued a non- bailable warrent against the Abbas Ansari at Mahanagar Police Station of Lucknow in 2019.
