Uttar Pradesh police seized a large amount of drugs

Six people were arrested for producing a huge quantity of opium


The Bareilly police of Uttar Pradesh seized nearly 4 kg of opium and 16 kg of raw opium, and smack along with Rs. 4.5 lakhs in cash, and arrested six people, of whom four people are from the same family.

 

According to the superintendent of police (SP) of Bareilly, Rahul Bhati, informed that they conducted a joint operation with the narcotics task force to stop the illegal production and trafficking of drugs in the district.

 

During the search operations, they recovered a large amount of drugs and cash from Lakshyapur village, which comes under the Aonla Tehsil of Uttar Pradesh.

 

The accused were identified as Kalyan alias Kallu, his wife Kamlesh, his sons Naval and Deepak, and two other people, Gavendra and Heera Lal. They also recovered opium making equipment, a cylinder, and gas.

 

Approximately 300 grams of smack and Rs. 50,000 in cash were recovered from Kalyan. From Heera Lal, the police recovered 100 grams of smack and Rs. 45,000 in cash.

 

Further investigation is underway.
