This roti is prepared and served in large quantities on special occasions and is super easy to make! Roat's cookie-like texture is best served with a rich sauce or sabzi that adds a bite of flavor to it.

First take a bowl and add the wheat flour, butter, cinnamon and fennel and mix. Then mix the brown sugar with a little water in a separate saucepan. Once the brown sugar has dissolved, strain the fresh water to remove any impurities.Now mix some cold and fresh water with the prepared dry ingredients and shape into a dough, leave to rest for 20 minutes. Then roll out a few portions of dough and cook the roti in a hot tawa, when it is browned on both sides, remove it and enjoy!
