Vacate Roads, End Protests: Ghazipur Authorities

Authorities at UP-Delhi border tell farmers to vacates roads and end protest

The farmers protesting at Delhi-UP border in Ghazipur have been asked by the Ghaziabad administration to end their protests and vacate roads. According to the prominent sources in the news the administration of Ghaziabad has given orders to vacate the protest site and it plans to clear the road by tonight. The border of Ghazipur has been sealed since November 26 as the farmers are protesting against the three farm laws and are demanding the government to repeal them. On Tuesday, January 26 the farmers broke the barricades and took out their tractor rally.

The state of Uttar Pradesh has taken a hard line on protesting farmers against the farm laws. The Bhagpat administration on Wednesday night got a protest site vacated on a district but denied the use of any force during the process. The Additional District Magistrate of Bhagpat Amit Kumar Singh said, “We did not use any force to remove the protestors. The elderly people, including a mentally unsound person were sent to their homes. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) had requested the administration to clear the site over its pending work in that area. The protestors from there were asked to move to the smaller protest in Mathura and Fatehpur.
