Vladimir Putin sends India a message on Independence Day…


Russian President Vladimir Putin reached out on Monday as he congratulated India for 75 long years of Independence. He extended his wishes to President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Putin said that ever since gaining independence India has “achieved widely acknowledged progress” in an array of sectors which includes social, science, technology and economy. 

 

He said, “India by right enjoys considerable authority on the world stage playing a constructive role in solving urgent issues on the international agenda”.  

 

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his statement. "Over the decades of independent development, your country has achieved universally recognized successes in the economic, social, scientific, technical and other fields”. He then added that "India rightfully enjoys significant prestige in the world arena and plays an important constructive role in resolving topical issues on the international agenda". 

 

Vladimir Putin expressed immense confidence in the ties between Russia and India saying that the two nations are “developing in the spirit of a particularly privileged strategic partnership”. 

 

In his statement, Mr Putin also said that “I am sure that by joint efforts we will ensure the further development of the whole range of productive interstate ties for the benefit of our friendly peoples, in the interests of strengthening security and stability at the regional and global level". 

 

India Embassy in Russia also shared pictures celebrating India’s 76th Independence Day as Pavan Kapoor, Indian ambassador to Russia hoisted the Tiranga. He also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and read out President Droupadi Murmur’s message.
