"We'll Learn From This": Rahul Gandhi As Congress's Poor Run Continues

Exit poll Results!

After the election result, it was all clear about the parties winning the respective states where congress didn't come to power in any of the polls bound states.

According to the tweet, Rahul Gandhi wrote “Humbly accept the people's verdict. Best wishes to those who have won the mandate. My gratitude to all Congress workers and volunteers for their hard work and dedication. We will learn from this and keep working for the interests of the people of India."

According to the statement, the Congress leader also said," We will learn from this and keep working for the interests of the people of India.”

The Congress was routed in the elections to the five states -- Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Manipur, Goa, and Uttarakhand. The party also lost power in Punjab to the AAP.

Addressing a press conference at the party's headquarters in Delhi, Congress General Secretary and chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said the party may have lost elections but not its courage and will continue to fight till it emerges victorious.

He also said that Congress will reinvent and return with a new strategy and will always stand with the people, raising their issues, including inflation, unemployment, and the "sinking" economy, with the same responsibility.

The Congress party has been successful in reaching every street and locality of Uttar Pradesh, he said, adding that ''we fought better elections in Uttarakhand and Goa, but could not emerge victorious''
