Weekend curfew announced in Delhi

In view of the increasing cases of Corona in Delhi, curfew will start at 10 pm on Friday night and will end at 6 am on Monday.


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, has announced a weekend curfew on Thursday to curb the growing cases of Coronavirus infection in the capital. Under this, the weekend curfew will start at 10 pm on Friday night and will end at 6 am on Monday. Many restrictions will remain in force during the weekend curfew. The weekend curfew has been announced after an important meeting between Lt. Governor Anil Baijal.

Curfew is being imposed over the weekend, which will be effective Saturday-Sunday. Cinema hall's will open with a 30 percent capacity. Necessary services will not be disrupted during the weekend curfew in Delhi. Essential services will be free, e-passes will be given for weddings. Gyms, spas and auditoriums will remain closed. People will not be able to sit and eat food in the restaurant however they will be able get food packed and take it home. Private doctor nurse paramedical staff will also get exemption on showing ID cards. Journalists will get exemption (both print and electronic media). Those who get the vaccine at night will be exempted. Shoppers associated with ration, grocery, fruit, vegetable, milk, medicine will be allowed to get movement through e-pass only.
