West Bengal Reopens Schools, Lift Restrictions!

Night Curfew to take Place between 12 am till 5 am


On Monday, the West Bengal government lifted a few restrictions going in the state. The government permitted the Reopening of Schools in the state. The schools for students of classes 1-8 in the state will be reopened from February 16(Wednesday). 


According to the statement given by the Bengal government, an official statement said: "A separate standard operating procedure will be issued by the School Education Department in this regard."

 

Further said, On reopening primary schools, we will wait for a few more days and review the Covid-19 situation. We have heard that a new variant (of the virus) is coming. We have to keep a tab on that," Mamata Banerjee said at a state government programme in Kolkata earlier.


According to the information, the Bengal government has also withdrawn its ban on incoming international flights. The information stated International passengers either have to be fully vaccinated or to go through an RT-PCR test within 72 hours from the flight departure.


As per the recent guidelines the state government has announced relaxation in the opening of zoo park museum tourist places and they can operate up to 75% of the capacity. 

 

The guidelines also mentioned that, it will be up to states and UTs if parents need to give such permission. However, the new guidelines have also asked parents to give their consent if states or UTs ask for it.

 


Whereas, Schools in several states including Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh will resume offline classes after many months of closure from yesterday (February 14).
