What PM Modi Told AIIMS Nurse After Covid Vaccine Shot

PM Modi’s reaction to AIIMS nurse after receiving vaccine shot

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today arrived at the AIIMS hospital’s vaccination center and became the first to take the covid vaccine shot as a nationwide vaccination of citizens above the age of 60 and those over 45 with illness begins.

PM Modi tweeted via his official twitter handle “Took my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientist have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together let us make India COVID-19 free.” PM Modi took the homegrown vaccine by Bharat Biotech-‘Covaxin’ that was caught in a controversy as it was cleared for use while it was still undergoing stage three trials.

P Niveda the head nurse present at the vaccination center said PM Modi chatted with the team present there and remarked to them after receiving the vaccine: “Laga bhi diya aur pata bhi nahi chala (Already done? I didn’t even feel it).” Niveda has now been working with AIIMS for the past three years now. She states that she only learned this morning that the Prime Minister was coming for the vaccine shot. She added that PM Modi will be receiving the second shot only after 28 days. Rosamma Anil, another nurse present at the AIIMS to administer the PM's vaccine shot said “It was a surprise. It was very nice. Sir was also very comfortable”

The PM’s vaccination in AIIMS hospital had featured various symbols of the states that will be undergoing assembly elections later this month- PM Modi could be seen with a traditional scarf from Assam and the nurses who had administered his shots were from Kerala and Puducherry.
