Whatsapp Updates Terms Of Service And Privacy Policy

Whatsapp’s Terms Of Service And Privacy Policy Updated.

Whatsapp, to integrate better with other products and services offered by Facebook, has updated its privacy policy and terms of service. The instant messaging app had brought a change silently earlier this year unlike the release of the new feature or an update that adds new functionality. However Whatsapp has informed the android and iOS users on Tuesday through an app message that emerged. In the notice the glimpse of the changes Whatsapp has brought is noticed to its privacy policy and terms of services. The users of the app have been provided with an option to agree to the update directly from the screen pop-up notice.

The changes made by the new update of Whatsapp will now provide additional information on how the app collects and handles data of its users. The new section of Transactions and Payment Data as well as Location Information will now provide precise data collection by the app and it also included specific information on business interaction that takes place through its messaging app.

The prior change that exists on both the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are about how Whatsapp will be sharing information with Facebook and its subsidiaries. Before this update came through the app the users of the app had an option to choose not to have their Whatsapp account information shared with Facebook but this time the case does not seem to be the same.
