The woman said that since her marriage in 2013, her husband tortured her for dowry, the compulsion began to remain separate. In 2015, when she filed a case for alimony, the Gorakhpur court ordered her husband to pay her 20,000 rupees a month.
The husband then filed a petition in the family court for the restoration of the marriage rights. The court ruled in favor of the husband. The husband went to court again as soon as the Supreme Court decided to restore the marriage rights.
