Covid Positivity rate dips in Delhi


The National Capital Delhi reels under several restrictions and Covid-19 curbs. The city witnesses weekend curfew, Odd-even scheme, and other night curfew restrictions ahead of COVID and incessant increment in cases. 



The city reported a fall in its Positivity. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the COVID-19 positivity rate in the national capital has reduced by 20 percent in the last 10 days and assured that the restrictions will be lifted soon. 



According to the statement, while addressing a program the Chief Minister said, "COVID positivity rate has reduced by 20 percent in the span of last 10 days. Today it's about 10 percent, opposed to the 30 percent positivity rate on January 15. All of this is because of the consistent pace of vaccination." Further, it said.

 

When COVID-19 increases, we have to impose some restrictions on economic activities. But we do not want to create a hurdle in your lives but protect you and your health. Soon we will try to do away with (COVID) restrictions and bring your life back to normal...will make all efforts in that direction.



Delhi on Monday began again to report a decrease in daily COVID-19 infections with 5,760 new cases and a daily positivity rate of 11.79 percent. Also, India on Tuesday recorded 2, 55,874 new Covid-19 cases, 50,190 less than Monday. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the country's active coronavirus caseload now stands at 22, 36,842 and comprises 5.62% of the total positive infections.



Many other initiatives to curb the infection level have been taking place in the city. The Delhi Government has implemented several other initiatives and curbs to minimize the Covid related cases in the National capital.
